On 13th October, a workshop for validating the Meta-Brief on Landscape Fire Management was held in Podgorica.
The aim of the workshop was to present and review the draft Meta-Brief, a document containing recommendations for improving public policies, the legislative framework, institutional coordination, and cross-sectoral cooperation in landscape fire management.
Through expert discussions, participants had the opportunity to review the proposed recommendations, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to agreeing on the priority measures to be included in the final version of the document.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between institutions and other relevant stakeholders, recognizing that effective landscape fire management requires a coordinated approach, preventive action, and collaboration across different sectors.
The workshop marked the final step in the consultation process to validate the Meta-Brief, which will serve as a basis for further improvements to policies and measures for landscape fire management in the country.
