On 20th October 2026, the National Network in Prishtina organized a workshop aimed to review and validate the National Policy Guidelines for Landscape Fire Management and the accompanying Meta-Brief, which outlines key public policy issues and recommendations for improving landscape fire management.
Around 27 institutional representatives took part in the workshop, including experts in science, policymaking and practice, as well as representatives of civil society. Having contributed to the development of the documents, participants reviewed their content and recommendations through constructive discussions and an exchange of experiences, contributing to their joint validation.
The workshop marked an important step towards strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and advancing national policies for integrated landscape fire management. Emphasis was placed on prevention, preparedness, response and recovery as essential components of a comprehensive approach to landscape fire management.
