The Landscape Fire Management (LFM) network meeting in the Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, brought together key stakeholders from forestry, civil protection, academia, NGO’s, environmental institutions, etc., in Jahorina on April 9–10, 2025. The event was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of the Republika Srpska, in collaboration with the Regional Fire Monitoring Center (RFMC). It was held within the framework of the Landscape Fire Management in the Western Balkans (LFMWB) Programme, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and coordinated by Farmahem.

The meeting aimed to finalize the Strategy for Adaptive Landscape Management and LFM in the Republika Srpska. Through interactive sessions and group work, the participants actively contributed to the development of a strategic Action Plan that reflects the realities, needs, and opportunities for LFM at the entity level.
The opening session featured a presentation by Mr. Miroslav Rakita, LFMWB Country Project Staff, who outlined the draft Strategy and initiated a focused discussion on strategic directions. Mr. Aleksandar Karaev then led participants through the finalization of the strategic vision and facilitated the collaborative process for drafting the Action Plan.

The second day of the meeting was dedicated to consolidating the Action Plan. With strong engagement from all participants, the outcome represents a shared commitment to implementing adaptive and inclusive LFM practices in the entity of the Republika Srpska.
